The reunited UK group will hit the Racecourse stage this June for an exciting summer-long festival.
After the buzzing announcement that a reunited Razorlight would be headlining this summer’s Bulmers Secret Orchard Live at Leopardstown, Liverpool indie-rock ensemble Lightning Seeds will now take to the Racecourse stage on Thursday, June 16.
Lightning Seeds found widespread recognition in the UK scene and internationally with their 1994 LP Jollification, expanding into a touring band following the record’s massively successful release. In 2019, the band released a remastered version of the album, celebrating the 25th anniversary of Jollification. Lightning Seeds’ frontman Ian Broudie is currently writing Lightning Seeds’ return album, to be their first new album since 2009’s Four Winds.
“I feel very enthused with the groove. I’m loving playing live. We’re a tight bunch and we’re good,” Broudie told Hot Press last year, ahead of the band’s Jollification anniversary tour.
This announcement completes two of the four dates for the festival that lasts all summer, bringing international and Irish acts into the spotlight for a day full of race cards, Bulmers, festival food and summer activities inside the newly-renovated Leopardstown Pavilion. Tickets to the event dates vary in price, offering valuable options such as the ‘Summer Sizzler’ package, with more details about the ticket options on the venue’s website.
