The Frames are returning for one night only at Dublin's Royal Hospital Kilmainham — and there are still tickets available, priced at €55.
There are still tickets available for The Frames' show at Royal Hospital Kilmainham this Saturday — supported by Wallis Bird and Cormac Begley, it's not one to miss.
Inarguably one of Ireland's most iconic acts of recent memory, The Frames have been delivering unapologetically understated rock n roll for three decades. Now, to celebrate 30 years of music, the band will be playing a special, outdoor reunion show to crowds of devoted fans — bringing founding members Glen Hansard and Colm Mac Con Iomaire back together in a showcase of the best of the best The Frames have to offer.
“There’s something about stepping back into the furious belly of this beast where the low bells chime around the parish, where time is swallowed and years slip by, this place where most of my hearing went in the sound of working it out from soaring angst to occasional pride into unmoored middle age," Hansard said. "The songs grow too and change their meaning, till it all collapses together into the glorious bonfire that is The Frames."
Releasing their debut album, Another Love Song, in 1992, the Frames have seen consistent, widespread success — going on to share ten more albums from the '90s to 2015. Whether seeing the development of their sound in Fitzcarraldo or Dance The Devil, watching them usher in a new millennium with 2001's For The Birds or gain their first Irish Album Chart Number 1 with Set List, the band have been the soundtrack throughout some of the most significant times in recent history.
Now, reconvening for one night only at Royal Hospital Kilmainham, they're ready celebrate.

"A significant birthday should be celebrated. 2020 [marked] The Frames’ 30th journey around the sun," commented Mac Con Iomaire. "Most of that time has been spent travelling around the world, in and in celebration of, music. Where better to celebrate? One night in Dublin! Come join us!"
There are still tickets available for The Frames at Royal Hospital Kilmainham this Saturday. They're priced at €55 each, and available to purchase here. Gates open at 5:00pm, with Cormac Begley taking the stage at 6:00pm, followed by Wallis Bird 6:50pm and The Frames at 8:00pm.
