The arena includes the Ah, Here! podcasting stage, the Manifesto tent, and the Leviathan: Political Cabaret stage.
The lineup for Electric Picnic’s MindField spoken word arena has just been announced, featuring Mary McAleese, Robert Sheehan and Dylan Moran, and many more.
The MindField arena will see interviews, debates, talks, poetry and podcasts. The Hot Press chatroom will also be in the area.
Former President Mary McAleese will be in conversation with broadcaster Mary Kennedy in the Leviathan: Political Cabaret tent.
The tent will also see Rory Hearne and James Kavanagh hosting The Big Housing Debate, as well as Africa Rising, hosted by journalist Fergal Keane.
The Manifesto stage will see actor and writer Robert Sheehan discussing his new book, Playing Dead’ with comedian Dylan Moran, where two-time Booker prize nominee Donal Ryan will also be present, discussing his new novel The Spinning Heart.

Laura Whitmore and her husband Iain Stirling will bring their hit podcast, Murder They Wrote to the Ah, Hear! Stage, alongside a range of Irish podcasters.
In a Hot Press exclusive interview, Whitmore spoke on the appeal of Electric Picnic, as someone who has been a longtime punter.
“You might end up in a céili down the forest or see something cool on the Salty Dog Stage and there’s all these other little things going on”, she told Niamh Browne.
"My mom is going to come this year because she’s always wanted to go".
The tent will also see Dermot Whelan interviewing Blindboy as a part of his new Mind Full podcast, while Jarlath Regan's An Irishman in America will feature special guest Marion McKeone.
The weekend will also feature appearances from Off The Ball, The Black and Irish Podcast, I'm Grand Mam, and The Irish Times Podcast.
Also in the Mindfield area is The Hot Press chat room, which will see appearances from Moncrieff, Fizzy Orange, Mik Pyro, John Spillane, The Bonny Men, Susan O’Neill, Niamh Regan and Brogeal.

It will see acoustic performances from artists, as well as interviews by Niamh Browne, Lucy O’Toole, Jess Murray, Riccardo Dwyer and Stuart Clark.
