The Galway-born writer unveiled the cover of the book and announced that it would be released this April.
The self-confessed 'sweary lady' strikes again with the follow-up to 2015's The Glorious Heresies.
The Glorious Heresies, a black comedy about how an accidental murder plays out in the lives of a host of colourful characters, won the 2016 Baileys Woman's Prize for Fiction beating Man Booker winner Anne Enright and bestseller Hanya Yanagihara. The novel explored themes of salvation, shame and the legacy of Ireland’s twentieth-century attitudes towards sex and family.
While details are scarce about McInerney's new novel, she confirmed in a Twitter post that it would be "full of words and punctuation." Thank God for that!
