The stream began at 12.30 GMT on Facebook Live.
Irish duo Lemoncello are one of the many bands who have seen their shows and live opportunities cancelled and indefinitely postponed whilst the Coronavirus lockdown is in effect.
The two launched their sophomore EP Oil and Water in late March. Their EP launch, which was originally scheduled to happen March 27th at Dublin's Lost Lane, was rescheduled in partnership with First Music Contact, Culture Ireland and #IrelandPerforms for this afternoon on Facebook Live.
The captivating duo performed a series of songs, including those from their EP. The live stream opened with 'House of Cards', and showcased how much the two musicians have grown since their first EP, Stuck Upon The Staircase, marked their debut in 2018.
Vocalist Laura Quirke sang a stunning rendition of Nick Drake's 'Saturday Sun', and cellist Claire Kinsella offered an instrumental version of Irish classic 'The Parting Glass', before the duo closed out their stunning live (ish) concert with 'Libra', Oil and Water's lead single. Although Quirke and Kinsella said they missed playing together, it was remarkable to see viewers tuning in from all over the country, as well as New York and Toronto.
