With the release of her highly anticipated Bedroom Walls EP on April 30, Etaoin has emerged as one of the most captivating new forces in Irish music. Her powerful combination of irresistible pop and raw lyrical honesty have helped her to garner an ever-growing fanbase online – with nearly 600,000 Spotify streams on her latest tracks.

Starting off her Instagram livestream with the beautiful 'Dog With A Bone', the singer-songwriter showcased her riveting vocals and bubbly personality with ease, engaging with her virtual audience throughout. The young talent then revisited her first heartbreak with the track that started her music career off, 'Pale Damp Cheeks' - a song that remains as relatable and vulnerable as when it was initially written about her first experience of heartbreak a number of years ago.

Mentioning her forthcoming Whelan's gig, Etaoin explains her upbringing in Waterford, how she was homeschooled before eventually settling in London and cold-calling the head of Ealing Studios, no less. Something must have worked, because he allowed her to record the track from her Bedroom Walls EP with a sound engineer. Performing her usual acoustic rendition of 'I Dare You', the laidback vocalist explains the origins of the track and the boy who inspired it (we boo'ed him).

With just a guitar to help her, Etaoin's EP also features an intimate, stripped back sound, reminiscent of a private moment. The same energy is brought to her livestream set, which concludes with beautiful deliveries of 'Golden' and 'Child of Winter' - an empowerment track about one of her closest friends.

The only way is up for the rising artist, we can't wait to see what the rest of 2021 brings.
