The first round of acts for this year's Longitude Festival have been announced – and it promises to be a humdinger, with Megan Thee Stallion making her first Irish festival appearance alongside the megastar headliners...
After the inevitable, enforced cancellation last year, as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Dublin's Longitude Festival is set to return to Marley Park this summer – with Dave, Tyler The Creator and A$AP among the headliners.
The three-day event (July 1 - 3), will see British rapper Dave, Odd Future breakout Tyler the Creator, and hip-hop star A$AP Rocky headlining the weekend – with Denise Chaila and Offica among the Irish artists set to join the powerful international line-up.
Longitude Festival favourite Dave returns to headline on Friday night, having performed at the festival in 2019. In the summer of 2021, he released his sophomore album We're All Alone In This Together to widespread critical acclaim. The LP hit No 1 in the UK charts and had the biggest first week of sales in the UK of any record since October 2019.
Genre-bending rapper Doja Cat is also among Friday night's performers. The multi-Grammy nominee is hot off the release of her 2021 album, Planet Her.
Tyler, The Creator leads the line-up on Saturday. However, that evening also features an Irish festival first, with Texas native Megan Thee Stallion – one of the hottest female acts on the planet – making her major Irish festival debut.

Having established his presence on the hip hop frontline with Odd Future, Californian rapper Tyler, The Creator made waves in 2011 with his first solo album, Goblin, which was a US No.5 hit. Tyler's fifth album Igor provided his first Billboard No.1, also reaching No.4 in Ireland and the UK. His latest release Call Me If You Get Lost debuted at No 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200.
A$AP Rocky is set to headline Sunday night at the Longitude Festival, after a last minute cancellation of his planned 2019 headline appearance. The American rapper was detained by Swedish authorities after an alleged fight in Stockholm. Fellow American hip-hop artist Ski Mask The Slump God – also on the 2022 bill – took his place instead.
A$AP will close out the festival on Sunday night with Australian up-and-comer Kid Laroi also joining the Sunday billing.
Today's announcement has confirmed that Denise Chalia and Offica will lead the Irish at the event. Also lined-up to play across what promises to be a blistering weekend are Polo G, D-Block Europe, Jack Harlow, Baby Keem, Aitch, Central Cee, Ski Mask The Slump God, M Huncho, Digga D, ArrDee, Pa Salieu, CKAy, Kuncks, Enny, Ivorian Doll and Sello.
More acts will be announced in the coming weeks – so stay tuned to hotpress.com for news.
Tickets will be on sale from February 4 with weekend tickets coming in at £239 and day tickets at £99.
