In support of the collector's edition of This is My Truth Tell Me Yours, Manic Street Preachers will tour intimate venues across the UK in 2019 with a date in the Olympia Theatre, Dublin.
The band's fifth studio album, This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours went to Number 1 in the UK charts on its initial release and sold over five million copies, in addition to winning the Brit award for Best Album, and scooping all the major prizes at the NME awards such as Best Album, Best Band, Best Single, Best Live Act.
Now, the 20th-anniversary edition of the album will be released on 7th December 2018 on Columbia/Sony, as a deluxe 3cd Box Set, double vinyl and digital edition. Alongside original releases, the album will contain many unheard demos, live rehearsal recordings, and remixes by artists such as Massive Attack, David Holmes and Mogwai. Fans will also get to see an alternative album cover to the one originally released.
Speaking to NME Nicky Wire said, "I’ve just been listening to This Is My Truth a lot. It’s such a deep and heavy album for a record that was so big. It just makes you realize that you can push the limits and have success.”
The band released their 13th album Resistance Is Futile earlier this year and played their biggest tour in a decade. Following on, they will take to their favorite intimate venues across the UK and Ireland next year to play This is My Truth Tell Me Yours in full.
