Margaret Atwood, the author of the 1985 novel The Handmaid's Tale, has called for Drake to be cast in Hulu's TV adaptation of the same name.
“Wouldn’t it be fun for him to have a cameo in season two of The Handmaid’s Tale?" said the author, who is also a consulting producer for the show.
The series, though shot in Canada - the rapper and the author's home country - is set in a dystopian America controlled by Christian fundamentalists. In this bleak future world, the few fertile women remaining after an outbreak of STDs are forced to bear the children of wealthy men, acting as "handmaids" - which are essentially sex slaves.
The critically-claimed drama boasts a stellar cast, including the likes of Elisabeth Moss (Madmen) as Offred, the show's heroine, as well as Alexis Bledel (Gilmore Girls) and Samira Wiley (Orange Is The New Black), and is in talks to be up for several Emmy nominations.

While Atwood has never actually met Drake, she thinks it might be fun for him to make a cameo, as the show is filmed in his home country.
“I’ll drop that notion into the ear of Bruce Miller, the showrunner, and see what he can do with that, because of course the show is filmed in Toronto. Maybe Drake could help smuggle someone?”
While Hulu is not accessible in Ireland,The Handmaid’s Tale is available to watch Sundays on Channel 4.
