Atwood and Schama will participate in the Words+Ideas series.
Writer Margaret Atwood and historian/critic Sir Simon Schama have been added to the National Concert Hall's Words+Ideas series.
Margaret Atwood, who wrote The Handmaid's Tale, will be appearing on November 2 at 8 p.m., while Sir Simon Schama will take the stage on June 6 at 8 p.m. The Words+Ideas series has hosted several prominent figures with diverse backgrounds and expertise, with other upcoming guests including Viv Albertine and Catherine Mayer.
Atwood will be interviewed about her prolific career and The Handmaid's Tale, as well as it's upcoming sequel The Testaments, which will be released on September 10. Meanwhile, audiences will have the unique opportunity to see renowned historian, art critic and broadcaster Sir Simon Schama, whose wide-ranging career includes everything from stand up comedy to television cooking shows to authoring books and essays.
