This will be the third year the University hosts this celebration of Irish and international culture.
From May 9 through 11, Maynooth University will host its third annual Arts and Minds Festival on the school's campus.
The suitable for all ages programme will open with a concert version of Antonio Vivaldi’s opera, L’Olimpiade on Thursday May 9 at the Aula Maxima. This performance is presented by the Irish National Opera with Peter Whelan conducting the Irish Baroque Orchestra.
The last event of the festival will be a performance entitled On The Road Again with Tom Dunne from Something Happens, Fiachna Ó Braonáin from Hothouse Flowers, and Alan Connor. Lemoncello will be the last performer of the festival.

The festival will also host screenings of acclaimed films such as Foolish Wives and Ballywalter, the latter of which stars MU graduate Seána Kerslake and The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty.

There will be an photography exhibition on Saturday entitled Queer Religion, along with a panel discussion featuring photographer Frances Marshall. Other events include a reading from Palestinian novelist, essayist and academic Adania Shibli’s novel Minor Detail.
On Friday, May 10, the programme will host a slam poetry performance entitled An Fhéile Bheag directed by Ciara Ní É in Maynooth village. On Saturday, May 11, there will be Irish-medium workshops that focus on sean-nós singing.
For the festival, Irish Village Market will be providing a wide range of street food from 12-6 p.m. on May 11.
