Would it really be a Christopher Nolan film without Michael Caine?
In the last 12 years of Nolan films, Caine has had a role, from the Batman trilogy, to The Prestige, to Inception and Interstellar. So fans of the British film icon might have been surprised to not catch a glimpse of Caine in Dunkirk.
However, one savvy viewer figured out that Caine actually does make a cameo. Caine's voice comes on over the radio at the beginning of the film giving orders to several fighter pilots.

Nolan responded to the discovery, saying, “Yes, good for you for spotting him. It's shocking to me that a lot of people haven't, when he has really one of the most distinctive voices in cinema. I wanted very much to squeeze him in here. It's a bit of a nod to his character in Battle of Britain. And also, it's Michael. He has to be in all my films, after all.”
