Patrick O’Donovan, Minister for Arts, Media, Communications, Culture and Sport, has announced over €900,000 in funding for Culture Ireland’s global promotion of Irish arts.
The money will go towards 154 projects in more than 36 countries. They relate to dance, film, literature, music, theatre, opera, circus, architecture and visual arts.
“Marking 20 years since its establishment, the demand for Culture Ireland’s support has never been higher, demonstrating the success of Irish artists across global stages and the demand from international audiences to see their work,” said O’Donovan. “I wish all the artists well in their global travels.”
The effort will support over 40 international tours for Irish musicians, including Soda Blonde, Maria Somerville and Dani Larkin. Other artists include Pebbledash, Hothouse Flowers and Black Pope.

Back in January, O’Donovan announced €1.5 million in funding for the global promotion of Irish arts. The money benefited 192 projects across 34 countries, and supported artists like Clare Sands, Sorcha Richardson and Brigid Mae Power.
"Over the past 20 years Culture Ireland has supported thousands of Irish artists to develop their international careers with funding of over €84m provided in total," said O'Donovan. "In 2024 alone, Culture Ireland supported over 5,500 individuals to present their work in over 50 countries to audiences in excess of 6.7m people."
