The new program will support pensioners, individuals with disabilities, carers, single parents and more groups with a €200 payment.
1.3 million Irish citizens will receive €200 cost-of-living support checks and this will impact multiple groups, such as single parents, people with disabilities, pensioners and more.
Heather Humphrey, Minister for Social Protection, will confirm with Parliament which individuals will be receiving the €200 by this week. The payments are to help individuals and families with their well being costs.
Humphrey shared the news online with the comment, “€200 cost of living support to be paid to 1.3 million people this week.”
According to the Irish Examiner, different days of the week are allocated to giving support to different groups. Tomorrow will see 158,000 individuals who receive the disability allowance will acquire the additional support.
On Thursday, carers who qualify for carer’s benefits and allowance will receive the €200 payment. Working families in 50,000 households will receive the same amount on Thursday as well.
