Tickets on sale for Jack Rua’s eclectic live show at Lost Lane, April 8.
This Friday night, Dublin based alt-pop artist Jack Rua brings together DJs, musicians, and drag queens for a curated night of queer celebration.
Lost Lane’s resident artist Mother DJs will be joined by DJ Ri alongside drag performances by Lavender, Shaqira Knightly and Annie Queeries.
Jack Rua channels inspiration from glam-based icons such as David Bowie, Lady Gaga, and Prince to pay tribute to queerness, innovation, and rebellion in his dynamic live performances.
Since releasing his first single on Spotify in 2019, his musical output has evolved from glam-rock and dance to innovative electro-pop numbers.
Moreover, the Dublin based artist proved his abilities as a powerful and charismatic frontman during his first performance at the Button Factory. The memorable night took place last August when Rua created an exhilarating atmosphere in one of Ireland's most well known venues - even for the seated and distanced crowd.
Since then, he's released the 2021 single "Vacuum" in which the rising London-based act collaborated with American artist Kit Major to further explore different aspects of his unique tone and style. This latest effort is set to be part of a larger project, yet to be released. In a recent Instagram post, Jack says he'll be leaking a new song and video in the very near future.
The Lost Lane show begins at 11pm. For a dramatic late night entrance, the singer will join the stage at 1am with Mother DJs as the final act playing until as late as 3am.
“It’s a live gig, it’s a drag show and it’s a dance floor. All under one big queer roof," Jack says of the upcoming show.
