The charity will hold its exclusive auction of street art at the Hendrick Hotel on 29 November.
Movember, an Irish men's health charity, has teamed up with Irish street artists to put together an art auction at the Hendrick Hotel in Smithfield to raise awareness for men's mental health. The auction, curated by James Earley, will feature notable street artists including Maser, Aches, Joe Caslin and Duda and opens on 29 November. The artists will complete a unique, one-of-a-kind piece aimed at opening conversations about men's mental health.
“The aim of this project is to bring a splash of colour to a topic which typically can be a challenge for men to open up about” Earley said. “Art can be interpreted in different ways and working with some of Ireland’s finest street artists allows us to use art as a medium to bring the topic of mental health to the surface which hopefully Irish men can relate to.”
Original pieces of artwork will be auctioned off at the Hendrick Hotel to raise funds for ground-breaking men’s health initiatives. A gallery, the hotel is adorned with pieces by Irish and international street artists, including a section of the Windmill Lane walls that were salvaged by Movember before redevelopment of area in 2015.
