The enigmatic IMDB synopsis for Vox Lux is listed as: "An unusual set of circumstances brings unexpected success to a pop star." The film is the sophomore feature from director Brady Corbet, who made a stir in 2015 with his debut The Childhood of a Leader starring Ireland's own Liam Cunningham and Robert Pattinson.
As well as Portman and Law, Raffrey Cassidy (Killing of a Sacred Deer), Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac) and Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty) also have roles in Vox Lux. The musical is being produced by indie film icon Christine Vachon, who produced acclaimed dramas such as Boys Don't Cry, Carol and First Reformed.
Vox Lux will have it's world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on September 4, 2018.
