Dublin-raised artists Nealo and Jehnova have teamed up for an introspective new track.
Dublin hip-hop artists Nealo and Jehnova have released a scintillating new collaboration today, 'Tears You Cry.'
The song combines smooth jazz tones and evocative lyrics that encourage the listener to fight for progress in their own lives and as a society. The track lands after their second Cold Summit gig at The Bad Romance earlier this week, featuring Nuxsense members and fellow capital city rappers blazing a trail.
"We votin / They promise us the stars when the ballot is open / Remember me the brother with his fist up like Ali / Are we livin' in the last days of the system / We might be / The final days of capitalism look likely."
Speaking on his collaboration with Jehnova in a press release, Nealo said, "When I look back now it’s mad because I could barely put a verse together, but funny enough that’s where the universe wanted me to be at that time.

"I asked Jehnova if he would like to come onstage with me and do a song. He showed up, and we had a great time. The rest is history.” Nealo, Jehnova and rapper/producer Sivv initally met in 2019 when Nuxsense reached out to Nealo and asked if he'd support them at the Workman's Club. Their friendship has flourished ever since, leading to some epic tracks.
Since his debut album in 2020, Nealo has been nominated for the RTÉ Choice Prize and is set to play the Dun Laoghaire Harbour festival next Friday alongside Dizzee Rascal, Tinie Tempah, J-ME, Jax Jones, Ibiza Orchestra, and Bingo Loco.
Meanwhile, Jehnova recently unveiled his spiritual six-track Bandcamp project Stuyvesant in June.
