Rising star Callie Hernandez will play one of the leads
Online streaming service Netflix have announced they will produce a new series about music titled Mixtape.
In a statement, Netflix describe the show as ‘a romantic musical drama that looks at the love stories connecting a diverse, disparate group of people in contemporary Los Angeles through the music that lives inside their hearts and minds.’
It will be ten episodes in length and director Jesse Peretz (Girls, GLOW) will helm the pilot.
No release date has been set as the series is still casting actors. However, rising star Callie Hernandez (Alien: Covenant, La La Land) will play a lead along with veterans Campbell Scott (Roger Dodger, House of Cards) and Madeline Stowe (12 Monkeys, Last of the Mohicans).
