It's a busy month for Netflix. Along with five new TV series to be aired, the streaming site will be screening four new movies in November
Netflix will kick off with the movie ‘True Memoirs of An International Assassin’ on 11 November, which is being described as an action comedy, starring Kevin James.
James, who is best known for his role as the lovable slob Doug on the CBS series ‘The King of Queens’ and the hilarious ‘Mall Cop’ movies, plays the lead role of Sam Larson, who is a mild-mannered would-be author that gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story. When the book is a huge success, he is suddenly kidnapped, taken out of the country, and forced into an assassination plot.
While Jackie Chan fans will no doubt be looking forward to watching Skiptrace, which airs on 17 November. This one also co-stars another US comedian with Johnny Knoxville of MTV’s Jackass, playing Chan’s sidekick as a smart aleck American gambler who teams up with a Hong Kong detective to help him capture a crime lord who killed his cop partner and kidnapped his partner's daughter.
Hot on its heels, the following day (18 November) Netflix will screen French flick ‘Divines’. It’s based in a ghetto near Paris where drugs and religion reign supreme, Dounia is hungry for her share of power and success. Enlisting the help of her best friend, Maimouna, she decides to follow the footsteps of a respected dealer. When Dounia meets a young sensuous dancer, another window opens for her through which she glimpses the promise of a very different kind of life.
While Mercy will hit the streaming site on 22 November. Directed by up-and-coming director Chris Sparling, it’s a story about four estranged brothers return to their childhood home to be with their dying mother - a substantial inheritance is tied to her fate. Loyalties and true intentions are called into question when a gang of mysterious masked men descend upon the family.
It’s an action-packed month for Netflix with season 3 of ‘From Dusk Till Dawn’ also being streamed weekly, along with season two of Lovesick, a series formly known as ‘Scrotal Recall’, stars Johnny Flynn, Antonia Thomas and Daniel Ings, who are all returning for more fun in this delightful, romantic comedy.
There are also four new TV series being aired this November: ‘The Expanse’ about human and Mars on the bring of war. ‘The Crown’ which started on 4 November and tells the inside story of two of the most famous addresses in the world -- Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street - and the intrigues, love lives and machinations behind the great events that shaped the second half of the 20th century. Two houses, two courts, one Crown.

While another new Netflix series is ‘Tales by Light', with season 1 starting on 11 November. It follows renowned photographers as they explore far-flung locales, capturing extraordinary images that present nature and culture in a new light. On e same day, season one of ‘Roman Empire: Reign of Blood’ will also make it’s debut. It’s being described as a stylish mix of documentary and historical epic chronicles the reign of Commodus, the emperor whose rule marked the beginning of Rome's fall.
Also starting on 11 November, is Estocolmo: Season 1, which is about an undercover agent, a prosecutor and a journalist try to bring down a human trafficking ring, but nothing is as straightforward as it seems.
While Shooter: Season 1 will be streaming from 16 November.
Based on the 2007 feature film, Shooter is about John Lee Swagger, a retired military marksman, who is coaxed back into action after learning of a plot to kill the President. Ultimately double-crossed and framed for the attempt, he goes on the run to find the real killer and the reason he was set up.
And on 25 November, Netflix will stream Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. It will be screened as four-part, 90 minutes instalments, each set in a different season. This follow-up to the "Gilmore Girls" finds Lorelai, Rory and Emily all dealing with the complications of life and family in their sleepy little Connecticut town. On the same day, 3%: Season 1 will be screened, which is set in an post-apocalyptic world cruelly divided between progress and devastation, you only get one chance to improve your lot – and only 3% will succeed.
There’s plenty of original comedy this month too. Germany’s top comedian Dieter Nuhr: Nuhr in Berlin will air on 15 November. Dieter Nuhr presents an up-to-date stand-up special exclusively for Netflix, taped live in the legendary former silent film theater Delphi in Berlin at the beginning of October of 2016.
While Colin Quinn: The New York Story is on 18 November. The “SNL” veteran Colin Quinn delivers a taping of his sold out off-Broadway show to Netflix for his second stand-up special. In front of a crowd of fellow locals, Quinn presents the history of New York and the different groups who shape the personality of the city. Quinn's show was filmed at the Schimmel Center in New York City and is directed by Jerry Seinfeld.
And, finally, on 25 November, another ‘SNLWeekend Update co-anchor and former “Daily Show”, correspondent, Michael Che promises to bring down the house with his laid-back style as he tackles society’s most controversial actions through his hilarious prism at the Greenpoint Terminal Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York.
