A brand new boutique festival taking place at Russborough House in Blessington, Co. Wicklow from June 10-12 has just been announced.
The Great Gathering, describing itself as "curated for those who delight in food and drink but who also have a keen desire to delve deeper, seeking new knowledge, experiences and discussion", will feature panel discussions related to food, current affairs and other topics.
Chef, restauranteur and author Yotam Ottolenghi receives top-billing along with columnist and television cook Rachel Allen and the journalist and filmmaker Jon Ronson.
Other notable names appearing at the three-day event include Blindboy Boatclub, David McWilliams, Una Mullally and Sorcha Pollak.
In the evenings, there will be samples of food provided by small independent retailers "with a focus on Irish ingredients and artisanal production".

You can also stay on-site at the festival overnight, with camping an option when tickets are purchased.
