New: <i>American Gods</i> premiers April 30

Starz Originals' American Gods premiers within three weeks. The first season contains eight episodes and the pilot airs April 30.

American Gods is a new American television series developed by Michael Green and Bryan Fuller. The series is based on the novel of the same name by Neil Gaiman.

Shadow Moon is a criminal who is jailed for three years. When his wife dies, he receives an early release. Wednesday, one of the old gods, offers him the position of his bodyguard and together they travel across America in search of alliances against the new gods.
