The Jamie Lloyd production equals the record for most prizes for a musical at the ceremony.
The musical Sunset Boulevard has earned seven awards at the Olivier Awards in London, including the Best Actress in a Musical Award for Nicole Scherzinger.
The reinterpretation of the 1950 black comedy also won Best Director for Jamie Lloyd and Best Musical Revival, as well as Best Actor in a Musical for Scherzinger co-star Tom Francis.
While accepting her award, Scherzinger said: “I always really wanted to be a singer and do musicals, and I dreamed of so many roles that I wanted to do. And honestly this role, Norma Desmond, was not one of those roles.
"But God works in mysterious ways,” she chuckled, “because it's honestly one of the ballsiest and bravest things I've ever done, and I've had an incomparable director Jamie Lloyd to thank for that."
