Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have announced their much anticipated Irish return with an outdoor gig at St. Anne’s Park, Dublin on Sunday June 5th 2022.
Joining Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds are special guests Two Door Cinema Club & Confidence Man. The latter is an Australian indie electro pop band from Brisbane, formed in 2016. They released their award-winning debut album Confident Music For Confident People in April 2018.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds first emerged in 2011 with their eponymous album released in October that year. The album went double platinum in the UK and has gone on to sell over 2.5 million copies worldwide.
In the two decades prior to this release, Noel Gallagher was main songwriter, lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of British band Oasis - one of the UK's biggest musical exports. Oasis played a huge role in shaping and inspiring British guitar music, or 'Britpop', from the 90s onwards.
By the time a second album was due for release, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds had already played 150 live shows in 32 different countries. Chasing Yesterday was released in March 2015 - the first album to be produced as well as written by Noel himself. Another 122 shows in 28 countries followed the sophomore offering.

Third album Who Built The Moon? was recorded in sessions spanning two years with renowned producer and composer David Holmes in Belfast and London. It was released in November 2017 and debuted in the UK at No.1, marking a record-breaking 10th consecutive chart-topping studio album in the UK for Noel. Currently, no other artist has achieved such a feat.
The live appearances continued throughout 2019 with a host of headline festival dates and tours of the US and Australia with Smashing Pumpkins and U2. Noel later released a series of multi-genre EPs over the course of 2019 and 2020, receiving critical acclaim and chart success.
June 2021 saw the release of Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-21) - a Best Of celebrating a decade of the prolific Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.
The tracklisting, curated by Noel, comprised a diverse body of work including tracks from three studio albums, three EPs and two new singles – ‘We’re On Our Way Now’ and ‘Flying On The Ground’. This marked Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds‘ fourth consecutive No.1 album and the twelfth No.1 album across Noel’s incredible career.
Northern Irish trio Two Door Cinema Club released their fourth studio album False Alarm in June 2019.
Tickets for Gallagher's June 2022 gig are priced €49.90 and go on sale at 10am this Friday, December 10th.
