The authorised biography of the late Charlie Watts will hit shelves October 11th.
The late Charlie Watts is getting a lot of media coverage - first the BBC documentary series and now an authorised biography published by HarperCollins.
Approved by the Rolling Stone drummer's family and fellow band mates, the book is set to be released on October 11th of this year.
Titled Charlie's Good Tonight: The Life, the Times, and the Rolling Stones: The Authorized Biography of Charlie Watts, the book is being written by Paul Sexton. Over the years, Sexton has worked as a journalist and spent a lot of his time covering the Rolling Stones. He announced with "humble thanks to Charlie's family" that this book has been "the biggest writing project [he's] ever taken on, an absolute labor of love and a huge honour."
So here's my news, with humble thanks to Charlie's family, @HarperCollinsUK @mudlarkbooks and of course the @RollingStones. UK publication is Sept. 15. Pre-order: https://t.co/1PSphcTm1R https://t.co/u42Y1NxbMt

The biography will include a forewords from fellow band mates Keith Richards and Mick Jagger. The book is constructed with interviews from friends, family, and (of course) the other Rolling Stones. Sexton starts the journey from Watts' recruitment to the Stones and through the following 60 years.
Watts passed away last August after abstaining from joining the Rolling Stones on tour due to a medical procedure. Sexton's book will give fans the chance to celebrate and meet the famous figure in a never-before accessible way.
