"We are Irish speakers that have lost it a bit. This piece will try and tell a new story using a language that we love."
The music, film and theatre company founded by sisters Zoe Ní Riordáin and Maud Lee One Two One Two will perform live at Dublin's Project Arts Centre on the 3rd of December.
The one-night-only gig celebrates their new project Éist Liom (Listen To Me) made in co-production with the Abbey Theatre. Zoe and Maud worked with writer Shaun Dunne and producer Simon Cullen to take inspiration from the opera Carmen. According to their website, "It's a story about bad communication. We are Irish speakers that have lost it a bit. This piece will try and tell a new story using a language that we love." The Dublin musicians bring electronic alt-pop to Irish language to create a unique and interesting sound.
They will be joined by Glasshouse, a ten-piece orchestral ensemble from Dublin. The group incorporates space and visual design into their musical performances. Along with the new piece, One Two One Two will perform some of their previous hits from theatre productions Everything I Do, Recovery, and Maud in Cahoots.

The evening is long awaited, as the duo have not performed live since before the pandemic in 2019. Tickets are on sale now from €16. A limited edition of the album Éist Liom will be available for purchase at the show.
