Orla Gartland, Fontaines D.C. and CMAT are among the Irish artists releasing covers for St. Patrick's Day as part of the Apple Music Home Sessions.
Orla Gartland has recorded a version of The Corrs' song 'Breathless' for Apple Music Home Sessions.
The cover was recorded in celebration of St Patrick’s Day later this week, and also includes a new rendition of 'More Like You'.
The up-tempo number is taken from her independent 2021 debut album, Woman On The Internet.
Multiple EPs have steadily paved the way to her self-assured debut album; 2020’s ‘Freckle Season’, 2019’s ‘Why Am I Like This?’ and 2015’s ‘Lonely People’. Having previewed Woman On The Internet with punchy, versatile singles ‘Pretending’, ‘More Like You’, ‘Zombie!’, ‘Do You Mind?’ and ‘You’re Not Special, Babe’; the coming-of-age LP traces a messy scrapbook of honest, matter of fact thoughts from the mind of an astute musician.

'Breathless' was originally released in June 2000 as the first single from The Corrs' third studio album, In Blue. The song was co-written and produced by famed music producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who produced for Shania Twain, Bryan Adams and Def Leppard, among others.
'Breathless' reached No.1 in the Czech Republic and the UK, marking their only British chart-topper to date. It also reached the top five in Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, and Sweden, as well as number seven in Australia. In the US, it peaked at No.34 in March 2001, giving The Corrs their only US top 40 hit. In 2001, the song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals but lost to 'Cousin Dupree' by Steely Dan.
