When it comes to US adaptions, maybe it's third time lucky?
After ending its 12 year run on Channel 4, muti-BAFTA winning comedy Peep Show is to undergo yet another attempt at a US adaptation.
Shot entirely in a first–person perspective, Peep Show like British comedies such as The Office before it has amassed quite a cult following across the Atlantic.
Previous endeavors at adapting the show for US audiences have failed both in 2004 and 2008. However, Starz have enlisted the help of executive producer Eli Jorne to bring the show to life. Jorne has previously adapted Australian cult black comedy Wilfred for American audiences, to a generally positive reception.
Shows co-creators Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong will also be on hand to help the adaptation in consulting producer roles.

"We are hugely relieved to hand over the responsibility of coming up with the dark and twisted thoughts of two terrible men to the extremely funny, dark and twisted Eli Jorne," they said in a joint statement.
To adapt a British comedy for US audiences is not a new concept, though doing it well seems easier said than done. While the US remake of The Office was successful, remakes of Gavin and Stacy have tried and failed multiple times. Remakes of Inbetweeners and Bad Education have also flopped stateside.
