'Beneath The Eyrie' was recorded at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, New York.
On Monday, Pixies unleash a three-track release called Beneath the Eyrie Demos, Pt. 1. The full album was released in 2019 to unmitigated critical acclaim, but this new, stripped-down version of the tracks offer a unique look into the recording process.
The demos include 'The Good Works of Cyrus,' 'Please, Don't Go,' and 'Chapel Hill.' All three tracks were written by Charles Thompson, and were recorded over the course of 2018 in the lead up to their recording sessions at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, New York.

Pixies disbanded in 1993, only to reunite in 2004 and play sold-out dates around the world for fifteen years. Original bassist Kim Deal left the band six days into a secret 2012 recording session, and the other band members decided to carry on, playing live with a number of touring bassists. They finally welcomed Paz Lenchantin permanently to the group in 2016.
Pixies will play three dates in Ireland this summer, including two dates in Galway and an already sold-out show at Iveagh Gardens in Dublin.
