Gareth Evans previously directed the acclaimed The Raid and its follow up
Welsh filmmaker Gareth Evans' long awaited follow-up to 2014's The Raid 2 will be able to watch via Netflix October 12
Although known more for action, Evans' new thriller seems more in line with his brief foray into horror as a segment director on VHS 2. Set in 1905, Thomas Richardson (The Guest's Dan Stevens) travels to a remote island to rescue his sister after she's kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding a ransom for her safe return.
The IMDB synopsis teases: "It soon becomes clear that the cult will regret the day it baited this man, as he digs deeper and deeper into the secrets and lies upon which the commune is built."
Stevens stars alongside Sing Street's Lucy Boynton and Michael Sheen (Twilight). As well as directing, Evans wrote the screenplay.
