Touché is the lead single from Belfast alternative hip-hop artist Daniel August's forthcoming EP.
Brn in Spanish Town, Jamaica, and later settling in Belfast; Daniel August is another fresh talent from the North who has been working the local club circuit as an MC while building his following.
Releasing tracks since 2019's 'Foolish'; August followed up his debut single with 'Santan Dave', 'Gone' and 2020's 'Profit', 'Basic', 'OSHAY', 'Retro Jellybaby', 'Long Talk', 'MOTTO', 'Cookies & Cream' and 2021's impressive 'Beautiful Mess'.
The 23-year-old alternative hip-hop artist has been slowly but steadily curating an extensive and eclectic catalogue of originally written music, unveiling new single 'Touché' today alongside Conall Shaw.
Premiered by Hot Press below, 'Touché' is described by the breakout artist as "edgy wordplay that is melodic, playful but lyrically potent".
"I want to stir emotions in my listeners, entertain and challenge the status quo," he adds.

'Touché' describes the ups and downs of the artist's daily life dealing with social challenges and relationships, and is taken from a forthcoming Daniel August EP.
The bouncy track is laced with heavy hitting 808s and snappy high hats to compliment the sample throughout its 2-minute duration. The prominent sample used throughout is reminiscent of a summer garage tune, which allows Daniel to use an approach similar to that of punchy UK Drill.
Delivering punchy lyrics and witty wordplay throughout, the production is handled by young up and coming producer Conall Shaw, who is already making waves within the industry. Shaw most recently acquiring his first No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with his contribution to the soundtrack for the Oscar winning movie Judas and Black Messiah. Directly producing along side the recently double time Grammy Award winning producer Hit-Boy, Conall Shaw has now teamed up with Trust It Entertainment's Daniel August.
Directed by Kyle Colby, the glamorous video was shot and edited by Red Active Entertainment, featuring choreography by August himself.
Actor contributions from Rachel King, Timmy Mann, Jasper Mafya, Alwysphil, Stephen Daniyan and Arthur Dube all add to the fun atmosphere curated by Shaw and August on set.
