The band also released a stunning music video for their latest single 'All The Time'.
Today, Hot Press is delighted to premiere an emphatic new EP, from Belfast indie-rockers Gnarkats. The Dreamer is undoubtedly the young band's most fully-realised collection of songs to date, a stellar release that finds Louis Nelson (vocals + bass), Jordan Evans (guitar) and Stuart Robinson (drums + vocals) at the very expanding their sound at the top of their game.
The band teamed up once again with producer and The Answer guitarist Paul Mahon. On songs like 'Heartbreak Debut' and 'How Does That Make You Feel?,' the band expertly distills their irresistibly catchy brand of alternative rock.
Better still, the trio also dropped Niall Fegan’s stunning video for new their single ‘All The Time’. It captures Nelson, Evans and Robinson at their best, factoring in the band's unorthodox charm and excellent musical prowess.
“Me and Stuart wrote the lyrics, and I think the commonality we had throughout the EP is dealing with the feelings of insecurity and change," Nelson says of the process. "That’s why I think we referenced dreams a lot, dreams can be like an idealised version of what you want your life to be, which can both prove to be a healthy and an unhealthy thing. During the writing of this EP a lot was going on in our lives, a problem I had personally, was wanting my life to get better, but I didn’t necessarily know how to actually do that, which led to unhealthy habits and the awful feeling of not knowing what to do.

“The EP is all about dealing with your emotions truthfully," he continued, "and not being scared to confront someone with a problem, whether this be in a relationship with a partner or even a work mate. I want the songs to give some solidarity to those who are feeling a bit lost, or not knowing what to do, but it’s a very normal feeling to have, which I’ve only came to realise. Hang in there, and don’t waste time doing things you hate."
