Dun Laoghaire singer-songwriter Bróna Keogh has shared a beautiful live performance of her Packed My Bags EP track 'Far Away, featuring ultra-talented backing vocals.

Shot on the roof of BrewDog bar overlooking Grand Canal Dock, the Gerard Walsh-directed video is a landscape view of a diverse and interesting area of the city. Wyvern Lingo's Saoirse Duane and ANDI (Amy Kelly) assist the singer-songwriter on backing vocals, adding layers of female empowerment to the gorgeous song. Keogh's trademark indie soundscape itself explores themes of consent, dissociation and sexual trauma.

The soulful Packed My Bags EP was released earlier this year, drawing inspiration from folklore, pop culture and the magic of the natural world. Bróna hopes to create a safe space for her listeners to connect with themselves and others on a deeper level.

The emerging artist's music featured in Walsh's movie South, which was recently distributed to Amazon Prime.

The past month, Bróna has enjoyed a long awaited stretch of gigs - including support slots for Pillow Queens and Wyvern Lingo as part of the Wicklow County Council Summer Songs series. While abroad, she also supported Nadia Reid on a solo tour of New Zealand, which helped her garner a stronger sense of the kind of artist she wanted to become.

Keogh's hypnotic second single 'Far Away' landed in December 2020. The raw, indie folk tale was borne out of a period of dissociative behaviours that explores the concept of consent. The track will no doubt resonate with anyone who has experienced repressed trauma of any kind, or anyone who finds themselves needing company when drifting off is their only option.

Packed My Bags was released this year with support from the Arts Council. Bróna is currently working on two new singles and is running a GoFundMe Campaign to raise the necessary financial assistance - support her journey here.
