Part slacker rock, part R&B; Chameleon's new single 'Show Me Where Your Heart Is' originally dropped in July 2022 via Rubyworks.
Last year's A New Local Hero winner Chameleon has teamed up with Louis O'Sullivan to direct the new video for his latest single, 'Show Me Where Your Heart Is'.
The blissed-out single, released via Rubyworks Records last summer, explores what it’s like to be torn between wanting to dive right into a relationship and having reservations about commitment.
Full of sublime pop hooks, the video was a long time in the making but the finished clip is well worth the wait - premiered below by Hot Press. Flicking between numerous locations as the addictive guitar riff oozes funk in between glittering synths, Chameleon's trademark colourful hair adds another element to the red lighting that glows throughout.

Adding television screens behind him in the stunning green Irish countryside, to the more industrial visual elements of North Wall - it appears - Matthew Harris even gets his own Chameleon petrol station.
The insanely creative video takes the song to the next level, showcasing exactly why Rubyworks saw his brimming potential last year. His sonic inspirations include Frank Ocean and James Blake, but genres like R&B, alternative pop, funk and neo-soul and hip-hop are clearly becoming playground.
"In the initial process of conceptualising the video for this song which came out last summer, our desire was to reflect the sentiment and mood of the time - sun, saturation, soul, all mixed in with themes of desperation, yearning and, of course, love," Matthew tells Hot Press of 'Show Me Where Your Heart Is'.
"At some point we hit a wall, and it forced us to think simpler, re-contextualise what the song meant to me now and I felt compelled to just feel it out. Making the song felt like trying to shake something loose in an effort to move on; I wanted to represent that in a manic performance, a kind of tribal shuddering. The idea for the TVs was Louis'. We bounce off each other well and have similar tastes in the culture we absorb. We love aesthetics and the way we're made feel when confronted with striking images."
As a film graduate from Trinity College Dublin, the visual aspect of Matthew Harris' art is central his his process, whether under his Chameleon moniker or working for others.

"I studied film for four years and it's a love affair I've cultivated alongside music since the beginning. I'm constantly pulling from films and filmmakers I love; Kubrick, Linklater, Hiro Murai (Atlanta) etc. I see a space in Dublin's music scene for the development of some new visual languages and I want to build into that, start making a unique stamp, something people will be able to recognise as unmistakably 'Chameleon'."
