Hot Press is proud to premiere the video for 'On Sundays', from Cork-based folk trio The Lost Gecko.

The song tells the story of two people caught in the waves of life, their lives colliding in uncertain times, with no idea how long it will last, leaving viewers with an open-ended resolution.

The ethereal, dream-like animation compliments the acoustic, storytelling elements of the song. Frontman Malcolm Urquhart says, “It’s about love, loss, mental health and the fallout.” 'On Sundays' was inspired by a boat trip that Malcolm took to Sherkin Island in West Cork.

The handcrafted video was animated by the award-winning Mark Corrigan, for his fourth collaboration with The Lost Gecko.
