A spokesperson said it’s an “uphill battle” and the band have “repeatedly taken issue with the Trump campaign”.
British rock band Queen have called on Donald Trump to stop using their music for his re-election campaign after the US President used their 1977 hit 'We Will Rock You' on his new Triller account.
The social media platform Triller is a rival to TikTok, a controversial Chinese service.
Trump tweeted the video last Wednesday, October 9th, and it was unavailable on Twitter by Sunday, October 14th.
The clip reportedly featured footage of Trump speaking at rallies while 'We Will Rock You' played in its entirety. The video was apparently viewed more than 1.7 million times before being taken down.
A representative for Queen confirmed the use of the song was unauthorised, adding that the band had “already entered into a process to call for non use of Queen song copyrights by the Trump campaign.”
