"Big. Dyke. Energy."
King is a brand new, monthly queer night set to launch at Opium, Dublin on May 26th.
The club event is aimed at queer women and their friends, with the Camden Street venue hosting the fun-filled event from 11pm until late this month. With an accessible venue set up for "Big Dyke Energy" on the dancefloor, King have maintained their "trans inclusive with a healthy disrespect for the binary" statement. "We want to create a celebratory space with undeniable female energy that revels in the queer joy we all feel when we are with our people and the vibes are immaculate,” they commented.
"A monthly night that will focus on and celebrate female queer energy and the power of getting together in a safe, inclusive space and letting loose."

Lauded DJ Claire Beck will be joining King Dublin for their maiden voyage. Beck usually spins the decks on her Saturday Soundsystem and All Irish on Today FM shows.
"One of the most loved Queer DJs in Ireland, Beck is best known for her signature style that blends house, disco, funk and oddities," King wrote on their Instagram page. "Each performance is designed to tell a story, serving you music that you forgot you loved, music you will love, with a sprinkling of “weird curveballs” to keep you on your toes.
Sarah Moloney is the creative behind the event’s striking poster and graphics. The well-known queer designer and illustrator has created beautiful work for Other Voices, ShoutOut, Two Boys Brew, Harry’s Nut Butter, Baboró, Kilkenny Cat Laughs, and Ailbhe Reddy, among others.
