If you’re looking for a visually impressive horror story, try the French-Belgian movie RAW. Telling the story of girl Justine, played by Garance Marillier, exploring a world of fleshly desires.
At the age of 16 Justine must attend veterinary school. As her family consists of only vegetarian vets, it seems only normal she does the same. However, forcibly eating raw kidneys during a hazing ritual makes her realize she has a developed a craving for raw meat. When her older sister notices the changes in Justine’s behavior, she initiates her sister in the darker ways of their family and shows her how to indulge in her most primal needs.
The simultaneous experience of exploring life in college, the coming of age of a young girl and the urges she displays, make this movie worth checking out.
