Ready Ogre Not, a Fifth Shrek in the DreamWorks
More Donkey and more unforgettable fairy-tale creatures on the way!
Despite the fourth film's title Shrek Forever After: The Final Chapter, DreamWorks Animation co-founder Jeffrey Katzenberg leaks his hopes for a successful sequel to everyone's favourite ogre.
Shrek first hit the cinema fifteen years ago, introducing lovable green ogres into homes all over the world. The fourth instalment graced the screen back in 2010, leaving viewers wanting. Katzenberg and Shrek writers planned all along to have the ogre's story span five instalments.
It is up to Universal to fly with the plans, but if all goes accordingly, 2019 will be a big box office year to continue the magical legacy.
Cast member Eddie Murphy will return as the voice of Donkey, giving us more memorable lines, "We can stay up late, swapping manly stories, and in the morning, I'm making waffles!"
