Red Hot Chili Peppers are back with their first major release since 2016. Their forthcoming album, Unlimited Love, will be released on April 1 via Warners Bros.
The Rick Ruben-produced LP will consist of 17 new tracks, including the lead single 'Black Summer' that was released today.
RHCP's latest offering features the group's trademark Californian groove and rolling guitar lines.
The accompanying video was directed by Deborah Chow (The Mandalorian, Mr. Robot, Better Call Saul). The visual sees the members – frontman Anthony Kiedis, drummer Chad Smith, Bassist Flea and guitarist John Frusciante – playing the track in front of ambient green screen settings.

The new album will also mark the first release since Frusciante rejoined the group in 2019. In a press release, the group said their only goal for the next record was "to get lost in the music."
“We (John, Anthony, Chad and Flea) spent thousands of hours, collectively and individually, honing our craft and showing up for one another, to make the best album we could,” the group said. “Our antennae attuned to the divine cosmos, we were just so damn grateful for the opportunity to be in a room together, and, once again, try to get better.
"Days, weeks and months spent listening to each other, composing, jamming freely, and arranging the fruit of those jams with great care and purpose. The sounds, rhythms, vibrations, words and melodies had us enrapt."
Following Unlimited Love's release the rock outfit will set out on a stadium tour.
Rapper and Silk Sonic member Anderson .Paak will join RHCP in Dublin with his frequent backing band Free Nationals. Funk bassist Thundercat will also feature on the billing.
The rest of the tour will see high-profile artists such as The Strokes, A$AP Rocky, HAIM, Beck, St. Vincent and King Princess joining the west-coast rockers.

The band commented on the tour saying: "Red Hot Chili Peppers have never been more thrilled, bursting with commitment and purpose, as they are regarding this upcoming tour."
"They have no interest in resting on accolades, awards or commercial success, this is a mission, they intend to channel the most mighty spirits and give everything they've got."
RHCP will play 32 cities across the whole global stadium tour, including a date at Dublin's Marlay Park.
