Surface Pro 4 is the Batman to Surface Pro 3’s Robin.
This tablet masquerades as a laptop, adorned in a magnesium body and propped up with a multi-position hinge. The magnetic keyboard is better than the Pro 3’s version: the touchpad is bigger, typing more precise.
You can run apps and desktop programmes in unison, and it emerges from the case with Windows 10 installed. The 12.3” screen is a vast improvement on its predecessor, sporting a 267 pixels per inch (2,736 x 1,824 pixels) display, which trumps the iPad Pro. In the engine room: powerful Intel Core processors and 128GB storage, which can be stretched to 512 GB.
The device’s Surface Pen is worth writing home about. Packing 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity, this stylus is more sensitive than a hound’s nose. Graphic designers, artists and animators swear by it. However, the Pro 4 lacks the iPad Pro’s wide selection of apps.
MI5 levels of security keep your content safe. There are dual rear-facing and front-facing cameras, stereo speakers that carry enough clout to concern the neighbours, and nine hours of battery life. The Surface Pro 4 weighs in at a starting price of €1,029.00.
