Bedroom pop maven Rex Orange County will come to Dublin this summer as part of his sprawling WHO CARES? world tour.
Following the release of his fourth album, WHO CARES?, Rex Orange County (real name Alex O'Connor) has teamed up with long-time collaborator and visual artist Bráulio Amado in a new visual for 'MAKING TIME'.
The somber track has received a retro-style animation visual written by Amado and animated by Peter Steineck. Check out the video below.
'MAKING TIME' is the second single to be lifted from the LP, following January's 'KEEP IT UP'. The lead single was the English singer's first release since his 2020 Live At Radio City Music Hall EP. The accompanied video for the track shows O'Connor through the tinge of nostalgia, as he explores the streets of Amsterdam in series of cassette style clips.
After dropping on March 11, WHO CARES? is currently climbing the charts, betting to be O'Connor's first ever UK #1. The record was written and produced alongside Benny Sings. The pair worked together previously on the 2017 name-making hit 'Loving is Easy'.

To promote the album, O'Connor is setting out on a colossal tour across North America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the UK this year – including a date at Dublin's Iveagh Gardens on July 15. The full tour dates can be found, here.
O'Connor first shot to fame following his 2015 mixtape Bcos U Will Never B Free. He solidified his status as one to watch with 2017's Apricot Princess and 2019's Pony.
Revisit O'Connor's 2019 interview with Hot Press, where he chatted about the emotions used to guide Pony and connecting with his fans: "The kind of emotional, really happy, really sad love thing is what everyone who's 16 to 19 or younger feels. It's dramatic, just like exaggerated emotions. So it's probably easier for them to get into my music."
