Tickets for Róisín Murphy's 3Olympia Theatre date from €34 go on sale this Friday, 28th January at 10am.
Singer-songwriter and director Róisín Murphy will perform at the 3Olympia Theatre Dublin on April 24th, 2022, the dance queen announced this morning.
Murphy was slated to headline the Mother Block Party on New Year's Eve 2021, but Covid-19 restrictions unfortunately stole the show. Not to worry, the legendary dance artist has a fabulous show up her sleeve for this Spring in Dublin.
Having risen to prominence in the 1990s as one-half of Moloko, releasing smash hit tracks including 'Sing it back' and 'The Time is Now', Arklow native Murphy proceeded to enjoy a wildly divergent solo career after moving to Manchester.
Flitting joyfully from Italian song to powerhouse tracks like ‘Let Me Know’ means Róisín has stealthily developed into one of today’s most innovative and restless artists. Her latest album Róisín Machine landed last year and was nominated for a Choice Music Prize award.
"The original spark for this was the proto-house era, the era of Larry Levan and Parrot," Murphy told Hot Press in 2020 of Róisín Machine. "We listened to Padlock – it's eminently listenable at home. In fact, that's where I would listen to it the most. It works on the dance floor, but also works really well if you're doing the dishes. That's the type of music we were trying to emulate.”

Six months after the release of her acclaimed new album release, Róisín Murphy revealed the news of Crooked Machine. Produced by Crooked Man, aka DJ Parrot, the new project is a reinterpretation of her 2020 album, and was unveiled digitally on April 30, 2021 and on vinyl on June 11, as part of Record Store Day.
