Another blow was struck to romantics everywhere, as rumours abound that national treasure actress Ruth Negga and long-term boyfriend Dominc Cooper have split after eight years together.

The pair met and began dating while starring the UK National Theatre production of Phédre in 2009. Negga and Cooper have often worked together since, starring together in video game adaptation Warcraft in 2016 and appearing together in Preacher, an adaptation of the comic book series, produced for AMC by Sam Catlin, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen.

Representatives for Negga and Cooper have refused to comment on the speculation.
