30 comedians are set to perform over the weekend
Electric Picnic has announced the lineup for 2024’s Comedy Arena, which sees a total of 30 comedians take to the stage over the course of the weekend.
Headlining on Saturday is the UK's Russell Howard. Known for his hugely energetic and equally physical performances, he has been a mainstay on TV screens and on stages for the past 15 years, appearing on Taskmaster and hosting Russell Howard's Good News.
Irish comedian Ardal O’Hanlon will also make an appearance. Though known for his roles in Father Ted and Derry Girls, he has also made a name for himself as a standup comedian.

Sunday's Headliner is Katherine Ryan, an Irish-Canadian comedian known for her proficiency in self-deprecating humour and sharp wit.
Emma Doran, who has performed at Vicar Street and the 3Arena in the past joins him in representing the home team. Known for her sketch comedy, she is just one of the many comedians performing who used social media to boost their following.
Joining her from the internet background are sensations Peter McGann and Garron Noone.
McGann is known for his host of characters, which vary from failed directors to deadbeat dads addicted to snapchat filters. Boasting 26.7k followers, he is prolific on both ‘X’ and TikTok.
Noone has earned recognition for his reviews of Irish towns and foods, as well as his talent for ranting and sharp social commentary, earning him over a million followers on TikTok.
MC duties have fallen to Limerick native Karl Spain, who will keep the show on track over the two days.
The stage opens at 1.30pm on the Saturday, and runs until 9pm both days.
