Paul Cattermole passed away suddenly in his home in Dorset, England, at just 46 years-old.
2000s pop sensation Jo O'Meara has thanked the public for their outpouring of "love and support" following the April 6th passing of singer Paul Cattermole.
The two were part of English pop group S Club 7 together, alongside members Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt and Rachel Stevens.
"I just wanted to reach out and thank everybody from the bottom of my heart for the love and kindness you have shown over the tragic passing of our sweetest soul Paul," wrote O'Meara to her Instagram account, adding:
"This has been utterly devastating , and I am totally shocked and heartbroken... We have lost someone so incredibly special to us all, and there is a huge sense of sadness that will never go. Paul will forever be a huge part of our lives, and I will forever treasure the memories we made!"

Created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller (who ensured the band barely received any royalties or payment despite selling over 10 million records at the time), S Club 7 rose to fame in the early 2000s, with smash hits like 'Bring It All Back,' and 'Never Had A Dream Come True,' which became a top-10 hit on the US Hot 100.
The award-winning seven piece also achieved four UK number-one singles and topped the album charts with 2000s 7.
In 2002, Cattermole quit S Club 7 to rejoin his former rock-band band Skua, to fans dismay. However– the singer was slated to appear alongside the group for their 25th anniversary reunion tour, which was set to debut in October. It is not yet known whether the group intends to continue on with the tour following Cattermole's passing.
