Ahead of their Jameson Connects - The Spirit of Christmas online gig (streamed on December 23rd) Saint Sister & Lisa Hannigan spoke exclusively to Hot Press, in an interview full of great, sisterly strength.
Saint Sister & Lisa Hannigan have spoken about the impact of coronavirus, following their special appearance at the Jameson Connects – The Spirit of Christmas online gig, on Wednesday December 23rd.
In an interview broadcast on the Hot Press YouTube channel, these brilliant collaborators – Saint Sister featuring Lisa Hannigan recently released the marvellous Christmas song, ‘The Place That I Work' – spoke about the year of the lockdown, the strangeness of this unique Christmas – and the possibility of getting back to normality.
“We’re talking here about some of the finest Irish talent on the planet!” Hot Press editor Niall Stokes remarks. “The video for ‘The Place That I Work’ is a really wonderful piece. To hear Lisa Hannigan’s very beautiful voice combine with those of Saint Sister – that's Morgan McIntyre and Gemma Doherty – is a rare treat – and that’s one of the special flavours that people will be able to tap into tonight at the Jameson Connects gig. And it is a really lovely, powerfully romantic song too. I’m really looking forward to hearing it performed live."
Saint Sister & Lisa Hannigan performed last night (Wednesday 23 December) as part of the Jameson Connects online musical experience, alongside James Vincent McMorrow and The Scratch.
