The Pulp Fiction superstar, who says he loves working with Irish thespians because there's "no bullshit" with them, reckons it's only a matter of time before the Limerick actress wins an Oscar.
Samuel L Jackson says that he knew from the moment he met Ruth back on a film set in 2012 that she had what it takes to be a Hollywood legend.
He describes Ruth, who was nominated earlier this year for an Academy Award, as a "special" talent who has the "it" factor.
“Ruth is an actor who is going to do great things," he says. “She’s going to win an Oscar, it’s just one of those things you can’t explain why, you just know. She’s been nominated already, it’s just an eventuality.”
Samuel L Jackson has also worked with Irish actors Colin Farrell and Oscar winning actress Brenda Fricker.
“Irish actors, at least the Irish actors I’ve worked with, they’ve got this great attitude on set," he says in this morning's Irish Sun.
“They work hard and there’s no bulls***. I like working with actors who get the job done.”
