Saturday Night Live set for Irish takeover next month, with Saoirse Ronan hosting and U2 performing
The Saturday Night Live set is preparing for an Irish takeover on December 2, according to IFTN, with Saoirse Ronan set to host, and U2 set to feature as musical guests.
This will be Ronan’s first time hosting SNL and comes off the back of performing in Ladybird, which is receiving critical acclaim.
U2 have previously hosted Saturday Night Live on three occasions – in 2002, 2004, and 2009. The appearance will also come the day after the release of their highly anticipated new album Songs of Experience.

Lady Bird isn’t due for release in Ireland until February 16, 2018 but early reports suggest that Ronan will be tipped for her third Oscar nomination.
