Mystery teen drama 13 Reasons Why returns to Netflix for season 2 on May 18.
The second season picks up right where we left off, in the aftermath of Hannah's (Katherine Langford) suicide and the beginning of a long road to recovery and acceptance for Clay (Dylan Minnette) and the gang. In the following court case, it emerges that someone still wants to hide the truth about Hannah's death, and a conspiracy and cover-up is discovered.
Season 1 was criticised by some mental health professionals for its portrayal of a number of sensitive themes - depression, suicide, self-harm, bullying, sexual assault and rape - and in the aftermath Netflix commissioned a study surveying 5,400 teenagers to find out how the show could and should be improved.
The results showed that over half the teenagers surveyed wanted more discussion about what they could do to help people in similar situations, with 74-80% saying that the issues raised in the show were relevant to teenagers and young people.

Netflix stepped up to the plate to make improvements and added more information onto 13reasonswhy.info, and will begin each season with a video message from the actors speaking out about ways to get support.
